Essentials of learning
Years of research in the classroom and lots of discussions about the way people learn with lots of colleague trainers and learning professionals lead to a new model that Anita van Veen and Arco Kats created, called the essence of learning model.
People have their preferred style based on “learning with or without risk” and autonomous learning or hetreronomous learning. The combination makes 4 basic styles. 1. Tell me (low risk, hetereonomous) , 2. Confront me (high risk, heterounomous) , 3 Doit yourself (high risk autonomous) , 4 Find it yourself (low risk autonomous).
We presented this model with theTrainingagency around 2020 and it was seen as a great new insight in learning. We learned that you get the highest involvement when you start the learning process in the preferred style and and the best ability to grow to expert state in the least preferred style.
This model is being used in the design of all our training activities.
Use of AI
Non traditional planning
The intensity and the duration of training activities are result driven. This leads in a lot of cases to an inspirational intensive start and a longer lasting training program with the combination between short (2hrs max) training sessions and focused learning during the daily work operation.
Embedding neuroscience
We continuously inform ourselves about the new insights on learning. We implement the newest insights in our programming. Due to the fact that there is a growing need for offline learning besides the enormous amount of online available learning material, we focus on the human part in stead of the technological part.
